Overview
Integrations connect the helpdesk to external services. Built-in integration screens include WooCommerce context, Slack notifications, and outbound webhooks. Additional channel and connector packages are managed through Extensions; their capabilities depend on the installed package and connection.
When to use this
Attach store and chat-ops tools only when those plugins/workspaces exist. Keeping connectors optional avoids hard dependencies in WordPress.
Where to find the controls
Settings → Integrations → Policies (#/settings/integrations/overview). Use Extensions → Connections for installed channel and connector accounts. Built-in notification and webhook controls also appear in the integration workspace.
Who can make these changes
elegant_support_manage_integrations or manage_settings to configure. view_commerce to see orders. view_integration_logs for history.
Before you begin
Enable a connector only after the dependency is present (WooCommerce plugin, Slack webhook URL). Secrets stay in the integrations store and are excluded from settings export.
Follow these steps
- Open Integrations.
- Pick WooCommerce, Slack, or Webhooks.
- Follow that article.
- Send a test event.
- Read the log.
- Leave unused connectors off.
Settings reference
Connector on/off, dependency state (enabled / unavailable_requirement / unavailable_license), last error, log timestamp.
Example workflow
A store enables WooCommerce only. Slack stays off. Agents see orders on Customer 360; no Slack noise.
Good practices
Treat unavailable_requirement as “install WooCommerce”, not as a license failure. Feature Manager may still gate the module.
Important considerations
Check the installed integration’s supported events and connection requirements. Failed webhooks retry through the queue; inspect cron and delivery logs if they remain pending.
If something does not work
WooCommerce unavailable: plugin inactive. Slack silent: bad URL or 403 from Slack. Webhook failed: see integrations/webhooks. Contact support with log ids, not signing secrets.
