Enable the features included in your plan
Enable the optional modules your team needs and check their requirements.

Overview
Feature Manager is Settings → Billing → Features at #/settings/billing/features. It enables optional modules (Live Chat, Portal, basic KB, AI Copilot, and other shipped flags). Core ticket, inbox, and customer services cannot be turned off. A license may gate Pro flags; a license alone does not flip every toggle.
When to use this
Sites that never chat should not load the widget. Features keep optional PHP/JS paths quiet without uninstalling the plugin.
Where to find the controls
#/settings/billing/features. Health chips on System / Integrations show unavailable_license vs unavailable_requirement.
Who can make these changes
manage_settings. Support Managers typically cannot open Billing.
Before you begin
Enable only modules you will configure the same day. AI, Live Chat, Portal, and KB each have follow-up settings in their catalog category.
Follow these steps
- Open Features.
- Enable Live Chat or Portal only after you have a page for the shortcode.
- Enable AI only with a BYOK plan.
- Leave unused flags off.
- Reload the SPA.
Settings reference
Module toggles, plan/license dependency, core modules locked on. Invoices are not implemented in Billing.
Example workflow
A content site enables basic_kb and Portal, leaves Live Chat and AI off, and runs a full ticket inbox.
Good practices
If a sidebar item is missing, check Features before Roles. Documentation remains available above Free/Dev even when optional modules are off.
Important considerations
Disabling KB hides public help and Chat Documents. Disabling Live Chat removes the widget; existing chat tickets remain.
If something does not work
Toggle on but screen forbidden: role missing the module cap (for example view_kb). Toggle on but health unavailable_license: activate license. Contact support if a core ticket flag appears off — that should be impossible.
