Open the HelSup customer portal and download the package for this free product. No paid activation code is required.
Install it on your website
On your WordPress website, install and enable the downloaded HelSup extension or product package, then confirm that it appears in the relevant HelSup settings area.
Enable the channel
Enable Web Chat in HelSup. The package is free, uses a local live API and requires no external provider approval.
Protect the webhook path
Configure the webhook secret required by the package before accepting website chat traffic. Keep the secret limited to this channel connection.
Confirm inbound messaging
Send a representative website message and verify the declared inbound_messages capability through the HelSup channel flow.
Test outbound messaging
Reply through the active web conversation and verify the declared outbound_messages capability directly through the channel flow, without relying on a gated widget descriptor.
Verify supported states
Test attachments, typing state, delivery receipts and read receipts only through the corresponding capabilities declared by this package.
Recommended first workflow
Start with one controlled browser chat and verify inbound messaging, an agent reply, attachments and receipt states through the channel flow. Use Provider health for connection status; do not rely on the currently gated widget descriptors.
