HOW TO USE VONAGE SMS WITH HELSUP
Connect an enabled Vonage virtual number for SMS support.
Purchase the product here, retrieve the issued package and activation code, install it on your own WordPress website, then complete the provider-specific configuration below. Every later step is limited to capabilities declared by this package.
Receive the package and activation code
After the order is completed, open the HelSup customer portal to retrieve the extension package and the activation code issued for the licensed website.
Install and activate it on your website
On your WordPress website, install and enable the downloaded HelSup extension, open its license or activation screen, paste the activation code and confirm that the license is accepted.
Prepare the Vonage account
Confirm the account is enabled for SMS and select a virtual number that can send and receive the intended regional traffic.
Enter API credentials
Configure the Vonage SMS API key and secret used by the rest.nexmo.com operations.
Configure callbacks
Set the HelSup inbound and delivery receipt callback URLs and, when enabled, configure validation of sig, nonce and timestamp values.
Test receive and reply
Send a controlled SMS to the virtual number, verify the HelSup conversation and send a plain-text response.
Verify delivery status
Confirm the supported delivery receipt and message status reach the same conversation, and ensure no MMS or Messages API JWT behavior is expected.
Recommended first workflow
Use one test virtual number, receive a plain-text SMS, reply from HelSup and observe its delivery callback. Enable signed callback validation when available and do not attach media.
