HOW TO USE EMAIL IMAP/SMTP WITH HELSUP
Connect an existing mailbox for support conversations.
Get the product here, download and install it on your own WordPress website, then complete the product-specific configuration below. This free package does not require a paid activation code.
Download the package
Open the HelSup customer portal and download the package for this free product. No paid activation code is required.
Install it on your website
On your WordPress website, install and enable the downloaded HelSup extension or product package, then confirm that it appears in the relevant HelSup settings area.
Prepare the mailbox
Choose the support mailbox and confirm that its provider allows the IMAP and SMTP access required by the connection. The package does not create or migrate the mailbox.
Configure credentials
Enter the mailbox credentials and server connection values required by the local adapter, using an account limited to the intended support mailbox.
Verify IMAP polling
Send a controlled email to the mailbox and confirm that polling retrieves the message through message.receive and conversation.receive at the configured interval.
Check thread matching
Reply within the same test email thread and verify that the declared threading capability keeps the related messages in the expected HelSup conversation.
Test SMTP replies
Send an agent response through message.send and confirm delivery through the configured SMTP service without assuming delivery behavior beyond that provider.
Recommended first workflow
Send a new email with one small attachment to the connected mailbox, wait for the configured poll, open the HelSup conversation, reply through SMTP in the same thread and confirm the outbound attachment only if it is part of the test.
